Frequently Asked Questions
What qualifies you to be a life coach?
Coaching became an interest of mine after I went through the process of getting away from my own toxic relationships. I tried self help books, had an excellent counselor, and I made progress. I got to place where I was ready to move forward at a faster pace, but wasn't quite sure what to do to make it happen. Then, I experienced the magic that is coaching. The results I experienced from being coached so inspired me that I became a certified with Coach Training Alliance and became a member of the International Coach Federation. Now, I coach and write articles and ebooks on the topic of toxic relationships. My mission? To help women coming out of toxic marriages create happier, more fulfilling relationships!
How does life coaching work?
Life coaching is a process that is co-creative. It involves trained listening skills on my part, and my deep and probing questions to uncover the heart of the matter. The answers to these questions pave the way into further exploration. Through this powerful process, you will make discoveries about your situation and gain clarity about your interests, life purpose, and core values. This equips you in co-creating the strategies and steps that allow you to move forward more confidently into decision and action.
How is telephone coaching effective?
Many if not most life coaches work via telephone. The nuances of expression, language, tone, and energy are clear over the telephone, and can be explored in a convenient medium. No travel required!
How long does it take to get results?
Typically, weekly sessions over a 3 month period yield powerful
results. Occasionally, the issue may be resolved more quickly. Some
clients find the process is so helpful, they elect to continue for
longer periods to gain continuing benefits.
Can I not just read a couple self help books, or other materials to
get answers?
Self help books can be wonderful. However, there is no substitute for ongoing support and accountability as you look within and work through
decision making and important transitions. One on one coaching is customized to your personality and individual circumstance, and I am committed to your success as my client.
